About Anne Mace

Who am I?

I am a transglobal personal coach and my specialist areas of coaching are

  • working with those with special needs,
  • supporting individuals with mobility challenges,
  • health professionals and carers,
  • those who are moving,
  • people who face tricky business including time management challenges or relationship challenges either professional or personal.

I am a mature, fun-loving person with a great sense of humour who is widely read, enjoys travel, entertaining, gardening, wine and watching sport, particularly rugby. I am married with 3 adult children who live all around the world.

I consider myself to be an international person as I have worked for long periods in England, Canada, Hong Kong and New Zealand. This provides me with a unique basis from which to encourage the professional and personal development of you, my client.

I am a

  • New Zealand Registered Occupational Therapist
  • Working mum, domestic engineer, spouse carer
  • Counselling course graduate
  • Small business owner
  • Graduate of Coach U, the premier provider of training for coaches in the States

As an Occupational Therapist I worked in physical rehabilitation, where I set up and ran my own Physical Rehabilitation department, and also worked extensively in OT departments in very large orthopaedic hospitals which specialized in hip replacement, trauma and long term rehabilitation from chronic illness.

I then moved into the area of working with special needs children and their families, administering developmental assessments, planning and implementing programmes for the special needs children, and running support and counselling groups for the parents.

I also worked with primary school teaching staff to advise on management of the special needs children who were in their classrooms.

The smiles of the special needs children I have worked with are a gift that I will always treasure in my heart.

When creaky joints meant I could no longer work on the floor with special children, I decided to follow my belief that if you wish to do something you should become qualified to accomplish it; so I trained for 3 years with Coach U, the premier provider of training for coaches in the States to become a qualified coach. Now as a graduate of Coach U, as well as a registered Occupational Therapist I have the skills, competencies and experience to become your very own effective, efficient personal coach with the skills to assist you with your challenges whatever their source.

I run one on one coaching as well as group discussions. The provision of one-to-one coaching allows individualized, personalized attention designed to meet your specific needs, allowing you to take action to move forwards, and see the results of your actions very quickly.

Group discussions provide a facilitated focus, which explores a particular topic allowing you to benefit from and contribute to the solutions other group members have used to remedy the challenges you may be facing.

My coaching is done by skype or phone from the comfort of your own home, or office. This allows you the freedom to access my services without the need to travel, and from where ever you may be at the time when our call is scheduled. Calls are organized to fit in with your commitments, and we discuss topics in order of importance to you.

What are the benefits of hiring me as your coach?

  • Identifying your personal road blocks

  • Identifying with honesty the parts of your life where change is indicated, in an atmosphere where complete confidentiality is maintained at all times
  • Increasing your ability to focus on creating a better lifestyle for yourself
  • Identifying the relevancy of your goals and finding new strategies to bring them to fruition
  • Increasing your ability to enjoy your relationships and benefit from them

I am a member of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce, which provides a large part of my on-going professional education, and also provides me with the ability to expand my networking.

For the past two years I have been a member of the National Board of Management of the Post Polio Support Society of New Zealand. Very recently one other board member and myself have completed all the data input from a survey of our members which is supplying the first NZ statistics onpolio survivors, the life they are leading and the challenges they face. As a Board we then aim to minimize these challenges on a national basis to improve quality of life for these people.

My coaching is based on my natural ability to listen and my keen understanding of human nature, which combined with my non-judgmental, empathetic and powerful approach, allows me to hear the real meaning in our conversations and coach you with great success.

I believe in coaching my clients to identify their values, increase their personal development skills while setting realistic and achievable goals, managing change, enhancing their relationships whether personal or professional, and improving their self confidence.

My coaching practice is comprised of articulate, intelligent, thinking people who are prepared to take action to use their talents and skills to create a better lifestyle for themselves; bearing in mind that they may not readily recognise what their talents and skills are.

The things I value most in life are the truth, positive attitudes, loyalty, communities, laughter and independence.

But most of all, I care about YOUR ability to enjoy YOUR life, and I believe that together we can make a significant difference to your levels of enjoyment.

Peace and love to you all.
